Let’s be Daring and Upset the Apple Cart by Dr Cathy Day

Dr. Cathy Day is passionate about education and has taught for 24 years. She serves on the Bishops Advisory Committee, the Queensland Catholic and Education Commission and the Diocesan Finance and Committee.
Cathy is currently the Director of the Townsville Catholic and Education Office and under her leadership has created and implemented a world-first Christian meditation program for all Catholic schools in the diocese.

Tracking some of the thinking behind the decision to introduce Christian meditation into all schools in Townsville, Cathy highlights the change from a performance based system to a personal commitment by pupils and teachers in which they can rediscover a new vibrancy in their prayer life and thus become truly spiritual beings on a human journey.
