Monte Oliveto Retreat 2017
With Laurence Freeman OSB
Given that most of our communication and exploration is - for the moment – online,
what better time to take part in an online retreat?
This retreat led by Laurence Freeman at the mother house of his Benedictine congregation leads us into the mystery of silence. Meditation is the work of silence, the fruit of pure attention which makes us present to the presence of God. It teaches us to let go of the idea that silence is something negative and to realize that the ‘silence of God’ is in fact the fullest revelation of the divine being. The talks trace the living tradition of silence through history and highlight the need of the modern world to recover this wisdom..
