‘The Joy of Encounter’, a Meditatio gathering with WCCM UK, took place from 2 to 4 June 2025 at Ampleforth Abbey, York. It was led by Terry Doyle, Holistic Wellbeing Coach, Tai Chi Teacher and a long-time meditator & Kate Middleton, director of Meditatio, the outreach for WCCM and a long-time meditator.
Along with some of the most marginalised adults from Teesside including Saltburn Recovery group and North East Opera, participants gathered to learn from and listen to each other; sharing stories, meditating and eating together and exploring what it means to become marginalised and how meditation can support us to find our common humanity.
