Forming Whole Human Beings: Why We Need to Cultivate Spiritual Intelligence in Young People

Tayna Malaspina

We live in a time when young people face increasing pressures, uncertainties and crisis of meaning and it is precisely in these context that talking about interiority and spiritual intelligence becomes urgent, because it is not enough to prepare good professionals.

We need to form whole human beings capable of dealing with emotions, leading and cultivating resilience to cope with suffering and contributing to a more human society.

Emotional intelligence was already a real step forward, but the next step is spiritual intelligence. The ability to connect with the deepest part of oneself, to discover meaning and to act with wisdom in face of life’s challenges. That is why we are organizing the Symposium on Spiritual Intelligence.

A space for dialogue, inspiration and practice. Beyond reflecting on the importance of spirituality and education, it will also be an opportunity for schools and universities to learn first-hand about the program that WCCM will launch next year to support the integral development of young people.

Scholarships are available. So, join us on this transformative journey, because the future needs young people with competencies that are not only technical, but truly human, and people that will be able to leave with meaning and presence. See you!
