Attention is another word for love

Attention is really another word for love. When we pay attention, we’ve taken the attention off ourselves, the centre of consciousness shifts from its usual self-centred, self-reflective, self-fixated position to actually being turned outwards or to the other, whatever the other is. So, other-centred. Self-centred to other-centred, that’s the movement of life and that’s our journey to God, that’s divinisation.
