Beyond the wall of the ego

We can reflect on what the ego means, when it forms, how it can become a helpful part of our psyche or very often, of course, how it can also become a major problem in life when our ego is not functioning as it should be, or when our ego is wounded and bleeding and causing a lot of trouble. So it’s about seeing, understanding, but it’s also very much about the experience of losing – to be able to understand the ego and to go beyond the wall of the ego into that state of union that we aspire to, that state of union that we feel called to by some deep gravity or some deep intuition within us, which really is what makes us human, this attraction, this gravitational pull towards union with God. And in order to obey that call, or to respond to that invitation, we have to learn to lose the ego.
