Faith Is our commitment of self to the other, to others, to God. Of course if we have this faith, fear decreases. We’ll always be a bit frightened—when we’re in a boat in a storm or in a plane when it hits cold air turbulence. But the fear doesn’t overwhelm us. It’s love that overwhelms us. And that is living a life of faith. Being committed to that other who is the source of love. Unless we learn to commit ourselves to other people we cannot love God. Unless we love each other.Â
