Agápē, is the word most often used in the gospels describing the love of God which is boundless love, overflowing love. Love that doesn’t know any barrier. That’s what St Peter had discovered: God has no favor; he loves each of us uniquely. Not exclusively. God loves everything. Every dragonfly and every frog and every blade of grass and every human being equally according to their capacity to receive that love. And it’s our work to expand our capacity for that love.
