God waits patiently

According to Simone Weil, God waits patiently. We see that many times in Old Testament narratives, God waiting until the people get their act together and stop being so foolish and so disobedient and rebellious. He waits. Sometimes he shows impatience, but that’s projected onto him. But it’s this idea that God is waiting for us, waiting patiently until, as she says, ‘patiently until, as she says, ‘At last, I am willing to consent to love him.’
