Growth is a test of authenticity

Growth is indeed a test of authenticity. Life always has some meaning. Even in painful loss or other suffering we are growing in faith, growing into love. Without our sensing the meaning of experience, we can miss the opportunity for faith, becoming just a flash in the dark, a fleeting glimpse of the mystery. But when experience is embedded in faith, in love, in communion and supported in a living tradition, it becomes transparent, diaphanous vision. Not just a blinking glimpse but seeing.
