Meditation is the principal lesson by which we are learning. We learn from meditation that love is the only thing on which we will be evaluated at the end of our life, as people do when they know that they are dying. The values by which they judge themselves are the values of love, values of their relationships. The only thing that people really want to do before they die is, as far as possible, to put their relationships in good order, to make sure that they take that final step of transcendence with as much free-flowing energy of love in them as is humanly possible for them.
