Natural rhythm

What we discover is that if you want to learnt to meditate, it’s easier to meditate twice a day than once a day. Sounds strange, but try it. I think many of you, like myself, have discovered that to be the case. We’re simply obeying the spiritual laws of nature here which bring together the physical reality of the sunrise and the sunset with our own going to bed and getting up in the morning. So it builds our spiritual rhythm into or allows us to coordinate and harmonise our spiritual rhythm with the rhythms of nature. We only have to have a little sensitivity to the way the world feels right at the break of day – the birdsong, the sense of waking up, the freshness of the day. And then what does it feel like at the end of the day as the birds return to their nests and nocturnal animals are preparing to come out but the others are preparing to sleep? So whether we see it or not, we are all part of this beautiful rhythm of nature.
