The overflowing fullness of life

So many medieval paintings show Jesus sitting at the right side of the throne of the Father in this great image of a monarchial court. But what is the meaning of that? The meaning of it is that he is participating fully as the human being who was known and loved, suffered, celebrated, died and rose on this planet at a certain time in history. A real flesh and blood human being. And it is this humanity of Jesus that is now participating fully as we are called to do in the life of God the pleroma, the overflowing fullness of life. And this is precisely what Jesus says. He came to teach us the full potential of the human to participate, to find fullness of life by participating in the life of God.
