There’s only one wisdom. It may come to us through the spring of indigenous societies or through the spring of beautiful poems like this, or through science or through art or through religious ritual or through mystical teaching or through nature. Where can it not come to us from? What is not a spring of wisdom, potentially a healing well? And I think, it’s what happens when we develop a contemplative mind through the practice. It doesn’t come through reading books, or listening to talks. All of this helps, but if it’s without the underlying presence of a personal practice, I don’t think it normally arises.
