We become what we see

(…) as we hear this call, and it’s not something we imagine in our mind as a voice, but it is an experience of being pulled and summoned and invited from the depth of our being into a breakthrough. And as we listen to the call and we open our eyes, we open them to the divinising light. So this is to the light of consciousness, the light of God. And in several passages in the New Testament, and in the mystical tradition everywhere, we see that we become what we see. We become what we see. Because in seeing this light, we are enlightened in the sense that we are no longer objectifying what we see, we are moving beyond this dualistic mind, where we are looking for God as if God was some kind of external experience or external reality. And we realise that all of this is happening from within the life of God, that we are on the inside. We cannot view it from the outside.
