We come to fullness of life

The ego cannot by itself, do anything in an undivided way. The ego, remember, is all about separation, being a witness, taking a selfie of what you’re doing, remembering it, assessing it from its own point of view. So the ego is always going to be this principle of separation, of divided consciousness to some degree or another. But we can only become other-centred, we can only become fully attentive, forgetting oneself, losing oneself and finding oneself in the other, through full attention through the Spirit so that our life as a whole becomes expanded. We come to fullness of life, as Jesus described it.
