Join Laurence Freeman OSB online for 4 Monday meditation sessions during Advent 2025.

These sessions are designed to help anyone who wants to learn to meditate in the Christian tradition or to refresh their practice. Maybe you’re starting from scratch. Or you’ve done some meditation before in a different tradition. Maybe you meditate regularly and believe that as John Main said we are always beginners.

However you come to it, the starting point is this: meditation is a simple daily practice. Like everything worthwhile, it takes time but it produces wonderful fruits in your life. You’ll probably wonder ‘why didn’t I do this before and how did I think ‘it’s not for me’ because it is so obviously for everyone?’

Each week Fr Laurence  will review the practice with down to earth advice. He will look with us at:

  • the challenges of learning a contemplative practice in our kind of world,
  • the fruits of the practice,
  • how self-knowledge opens us to new understanding of all our relationships
  • and to the knowledge of God.

Each session last for 1.5  hours and includes a talk, meditation session and a period of time to ask  Fr Laurence any questions that have arisen from the talk.

Please note that the recordings of these sessions will  be available to watch afterwards.
