Dr Absari is Professor at the Institute for Islamic Studies in the University of the Philippines. Amidst the challenges of the global pandemic and terrorism, he perceives a living tradition present in every human being. Continouly nurtured by the influences of all religious and spiritual traditions, he explores how it can help humanity to face its current challenges through unified consciousness. Drawing on the mystical penergiy of his Muslim faith, he will show how this tradition is indeed the ‘science of love’, revealed in the core of Sufi teaching.
