Today science itself has made us more aware of the rich mystery of awareness. On many fronts the parallel lines of mystical and rational knowledge seem to converge and the old boundaries of Cartesianism have melted. From this possible new frontier of human knowing there emerge fresh insights and paradigms that offer new hope and enthusiasm for the human quest for truth. In particular, meditation, an old and ever-new form of pure attention offers both a common ground and new point of departure.
