Remaining centred and peaceful

PHOTO BY LAURENCE FREEMAN, BONNEVAUX, FRANCE

This contemplative attitude, this contemplative mind, John Keats was describing as negative capability, the ability to be present and to be conscious without trying to control or analyse, the ability also to remain centred and peaceful even in the presence of uncertainties or doubts, this is an active waiting for reality to manifest. Reality is always making a breakthrough. Even when we block it, even when we seem to lose the taste for it, reality is always building up and will eventually break through.
