The WCCM’s 2016 Meditatio Seminar “A Contemplative Response to Austerity” took place on 13 July, in Middlesbrough, UK.

Anglican Bishop of Whitby, The Rt Revd Paul Ferguson opening the Conference before Laurence’s key note speech closely followed by Bethany Eckley Director of Research and Policy at CUF (Church Urban Fund). About a hundred people gathered at Teesside University, Middlesbrough on 13 July 2016 to listen to a variety of speakers address the subject of “A Contemplative Response to Austerity.” The chair for the day was the Bishop of Whitby Paul Ferguson and Fr Laurence was the keynote speaker.

Part II features the Very Rev Canon Derek Turnham, Episcopal Vicar for Christian Disclipeship, from the Diocese of Middlesbrough. He speaks about the role of Caritas and the Catholic Social Action Network (CSAN). It can be viewed below:
