(…) why does it always seem so hard to commit to the path of metanoia and stay on it? We may have moments, even long moments, of clear sky bathed in the sunlight of love which feel so powerful that they will never stop. Even if we were to lose them, we would never forget. But weather changes, the mental sky clouds up with thoughts and delusions, storms can delete memory. The pain of loss and doubt can then undermine what was once unforgettable certainty. We are creatures of time.
