The work of God in us

(…) meaning enters into our life, not as a theory or as an explanation or some kind of institutional identity, but meaning becomes present as an experience of connection, that we feel connected to ourselves, to our deeper selves, we feel connected to the people around us including, as we will see, those we don’t like and those who threaten us, and ultimately of course connected in the great web of being, the ground of being, which is God. So our work of meditation in which we strengthen the muscle of attention, this strengthening of the muscle of attention, is actually helping us to develop into and become conscious of this work of God in us, transforming us into the living image of God’s Word, of God’s Son, of Jesus.
