(…) True conversion moves us along. It’s a breakthrough. It may also often be related to a breakdown, as it was for Paul, depending upon how extreme and intense are the forces of repression that we have been controlled by behind the wall of the ego. True conversion continuously moves us along with outward signs, but more importantly from within and with a changed, transformed way of perceiving the world. We move from false simplicity, which would be fundamentalism, a simplistic easy explanation, false but easy to believe. We see with a lot of political leaders today, they are telling lies to people who know that they are lying. They know they are lies, but it’s easier to believe these lies than it is to face the truth.
