Meditatio’s third annual webinar for Meditation in Schools  will take place on June 24, 2022 from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. UK time hosted by the newly formed Meditation in Schools Council. Â
Today many children and youth are experiencing adverse conditions through violence, war, separation, and the Covid pandemic.Â
Dr Salmen will address the theme:Â
Emerging from Trauma
Children worldwide are living adverse situations at very young age either in war zones, migrating from oppressed countries, or in self isolation deprived of the attention, security and love they need to grow and flourish in life. Meditation may help them through these difficult times particularly if taught at early stages of development at school and practiced within their families.
Laurence Freeman will look at:Â
Protecting and Preparing the Young
Young minds are particularly vulnerable to shock and fears of insecurity. They are exposed today to an extreme degree to the multiple crises of our time which include war, pandemic, and climate change. Never before has it been more urgent for the older generations to teach them how to find their inner strength, resilience, and peace through a personal and universal practice of meditation. Perhaps if we can find unity at least in meeting this need, we will be taking the first step to healing the damaging divisions which are the cause of the crises of our time.Â
Each group registration of 10 or 20 will receive a resource pack supporting the work of meditation in schools and parishes.
NB IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A GROUP BOOKING, PLEASE EMAIL KATE:Â MEDITATIO@WCCM.ORGÂ
